Land Acknowledgement and Commitment for LWV Beloit

The members of League of Women Voters of Beloit gratefully acknowledge the Ho-Chunk Nation, the People of the Big Voice, and the Potawatomi Nation, the Keeper of the Fire, on whose ancestral homelands we gather, as well as the diverse Native peoples who make their home here today. We are thankful and appreciative of the traditional stewardship of the land and waters and commit to continue to educate our members and our communities in caring for our environment. In a shared collaborative future, we will continue our mission to educate and empower voters, defend democracy and advocate in other cultural and shared visions.
