Dear Rock County Supervisors:
The LWV of Beloit is very supportive of this wonderful opportunity to purchase Camp Indian Trails and turn it into a county park with camping for youth groups. This acquisition is in alignment with the 2020 planning document that both Beloit and Janesville local League of Women Voters’ position supports.
There are so many uses which could be made of this property, including recreational, environmental, and educational activities. We need to preserve as many undeveloped places as we can.
According to the Press Gazette, we understand that perhaps monies from several different funds could be used so that we wouldn’t need to borrow money.
