Anti-Illegal Immigration and Sex-Trafficking Resolution
Dear Rock County Board
I am writing against the Resolution on anti-undocumented immigration and sex trafficking. First, these are 2 different topics and should be separated. I believe they were linked together solely to encourage you to vote in favor or be known as supporting human trafficking. Please separate the anti-human trafficking to its own resolution and approve it but vote down this bigoted anti-undocumented immigration resolution. Second, all the concerns pointed out in the anti-immigration resolution can be resolved with a pathway to citizenship and an immigration policy that meets the needs of this countries economy. In yesterday’s Beloit newspaper, there was an article showing the lack of workers in local businesses. As our birthrate decreases, we need to find ways to increase the labor pool, not decrease it. Only by filling the needs of the labor market can we keep our economy thriving. Please support all the residents of Rock County, documented or not, and their efforts to not only make a living but make Rock County a great place to live. I encourage you to vote down the resolution.
